Apple May Introduce The iPad Mini 5 In 2019

By 1 year ago

In a week Apple will unveil its 2018 iPad Pro and three new MacOS computers. iPad mini is one of the important devices in Apple’s iPad lineup that hasn’t been updated from the last three years. Two budget iPad’s i.e. iPad 5th generation and 6th generation are dominating the iPad or the entire tablet market for around two years now.

So it didn’t make sense for Apple to update the higher priced and lower speced iPad Mini. That said, there are still many nifty features like a smaller form-factor and a higher resolution display that are exclusive to the iPad Mini. According to a reliable source, Apple may soon announce the iPad Mini 5.

iPad Mini 5: Expected Specifications

A reliable supply chain analyst Ming-Chi Kuo of TF International Securities has provided some trustworthy iPad predictions. According to him, Apple will unveil two new iPad Pro models both with a USB Type-C port on the 30th October. In addition to that, these new iPad Pro models will also sport better displays as compared to previous generations.

Next up Apple will also unveil a “new-design” Apple Pencil for the updated iPad Pro hardware. As for future developments, Kuo has predicted that Apple may soon update the iPad Mini. This new iPad Mini 5 will offer “an upgraded processor and a lower-cost panel”.

As for hardware, we can expect the iPad Mini 5 to be powered either by the A11 or A12 bionic processor. Furthermore, the new iPad Mini 5 may inherit design aesthetics from the 2018 iPad Pro. Consequently, we can expect iPad Mini 5 to be the second iPad featuring FaceID.
