Recently, HMD global unveiled its new mid-range offering the Nokia 7.1. Well, even though the Nokia 7.1 has a 3.5mm headphone jack HMD global has announced some impressive wireless audio gear. So here’s everything you need to know about the new Nokia True Wireless Earbuds and the Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones.
As the name suggests, Nokia True Wireless Earbuds are two small and light-weight wireless earbuds. These earbuds are similar to Apple’s Airpod. The carrying case for these wireless earbuds doubles up as a USB Type-C charger.
Nokia claims that these earbuds offer up to 3.5 hours of audio playback or 4 hours of talk time on a single charge. Moreover, the case offers around three complete charges. Well, both the case and earbuds offer ultimate portability.
Nokia True Wireless Earbuds are one among a few audio gears that offer Bluetooth 5.0. Furthermore, these earbuds offer sweat and splash resistant (IPX4). HMD global has priced these earbuds for around €129 (roughly $148 or Rs.10000).
Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones have a neckband based design. These earphones are a slight downgrade from the True Wireless Earbuds. Well, Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones have Bluetooth 4.2 connectivity with multipoint connection for up to 2 devices. The audio output from these earphones will be stellar due to Qualcomm aptX technology.
These earphones have full-fledged controls like power on/off, answer/end call, reject call, volume control, and track controls. Moreover, Nokia Pro Wireless Earphones are both sweat and splash resistant. It is worth noting that these earphones are charged via Micro USB cable, so charging speed will be less as compared to USB Type-C.
The magnetic lock mechanism on these earphones can be used to control music playback and answer or reject calls. You can expect around 10 hours of usage from a single charge. Lastly, these earphones also provide haptic vibrations for notifications on your smartphone.
HMD Global has priced these earphones for about €69 (roughly $79 or Rs.5808).
